{Day 16} Green Smoothies

I hope to inspire and motivate you through this series 

Today I am going to share with you some Green smoothie recipes
Green Smoothies are:
Delicious, nutritious, easy to digest, high in fiber
and help you get your five a day 
I decided I will give you a few since there are so many variations
to the Green smoothie Try them all and see what one is your favorite

Green Monster Smoothie 
by Sing for your super blog
1 banana, roughly chopped
4 or 5 strawberries
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 small peach, peeled and roughly chopped
1 heaping cup (or more) fresh spinach leaves, thoroughly rinsed
splash vanilla soy milk
1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup crushed ice
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
*this recipe makes a very large smoothie- two could easily share

 Green Monster Smoothie
By: Annie's Eats 
1 banana (frozen or not), cut into chunks
1 cup chopped frozen pineapple
1 pear, coarsely chopped
1½ cups orange juice
2½ cups baby spinach leaves, rinsed and dried
1-2 tbsp. honey
3 tbsp. ground flaxseed (optional)
Yield: 2-3 servings
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until completely smooth.  Taste and adjust sweetness with additional honey, if desired.  Serve immediately.

 Classic Green Monster
1 ripe banana
2 handfuls organic spinach
1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flax seed
1tbsp nut butter
1-3 ice cubes
protein powder of choice (optional) 
 
 Starting with the liquid, add in 1 cup of milk of your choice
 Now add in the chia or flax and nut butter
 Next, add in the spinach followed by the banana on top
Blend until smooth. Add in your ice cubes and blend some more.
Serves 1- about 2 cups.

 Green Smoothie for Weight lose

2 frozen bananas 
1 cup mango
1 cup pineapple
2 handfuls baby spinach
water
ice

 Add enough water to blend and enjoy, that’s it! 
Forget the dehydrating morning latte and get the glow with a Green Smoothie instead
 This recipe tastes like a dream come true and will make about 32oz.

 Berry Green

2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup mango
1 cup frozen mixed berries
2 handfuls baby spinach
water
ice

 Add all ingredients to the blender with enough water to blend and enjoy!
 This recipe also makes 1 qt (32oz) Keep in mind, the more berries, the brighter the color. 
The more spinach you add, the more green/brown your smoothie will be.

 Healthy Green Smoothie 
by Six sister's Stuff
1/2 cup apple or orange juice
1 cup of spinach
1 banana
1 cup frozen mixed berried (strawberries, blueberries and blackberries)

Add juice and spinach to the blender and blend well
Add banana and frozen fruit and blend together
you can add water to reach your desired consistency  

I CHALLENGE you this week to try at least one of these little numbers
You will not be sorry they are all delish

  1. Love greem smoothies. We actually started giving them to my little boy a lot because he liked them and called them juice. However, we forgot about all the dates that we were putting in them... poor kid. :)
