Easter is always so much fun for me. I have always loved it but now that we have kids it is just the best. I feel like that about every holiday, though I am kinda a holiday junkie {I think sometimes it drives Ty nuts haha. We have always given each other baskets since we have been married and haven't stopped just started adding the cute kid baskets as they come along.
Ha this picture cracks me up. Me half ready for the day, Maddux dressed for church already with crazy hair and a bib with a peep in his hand of course, and sweet little Holden listening to his storybook. Such is our life.
We have 11:00 church so we had a little egg hunt with the colored hard boiled eggs that the Easter bunny hid for Maddux to find before we we headed out. Gotta love Maddux sportin the bunny ears, he loved them {Thank you dollar store} and was hoping around finding the eggs. He was so excited for the Easter bunny this year and it was so fun to see the belief sparkle in those sweet youthful eyes of his.
My little bunny, diggin through his basket. He just wanted to eat the grass and hard boiled eggs.
Church was wonderful and it was one of those weeks, that everything that was being said you felt like was meant just for you! It was perfect. Maddux and cute little Londyn sharin some church treats during sacrament. Match made in heaven. Maddux is surrounded by girls in our ward and I don't think he is sad about that. I am going to have to watch him when he is a teenager.
What I wore on Easter and the cardigan and phone wristlet are from the bunny! He did good!
After church, while the boys were napping I whipped up these beauties for Easter Dinner at Ty's parents house later on that day. I LOVE how they turned out and they were so stinkin good I can not tell a lie. You can find the tutorial and Recipe in my Post HERE.
Our New Easter outfits: Ty- Shorts and T-shirt // Target

After the boys woke up we headed to grandma Julie and Grandpa Dave's house for another egg hunt, family time and an Easter feast.
Best Swing Ever. Seriously I want a huge tree and a swing just like this when I have my own home. It is heaven. Perfect for the Spring and summer lounging especially on a Sunday surrounded by family. BLISS!!!
Bare feet, shorts, dirt, toys, cousins, and grandma and grandpas house what is better than that?
Seriously Easter dinner was so good!
We had such a fun time. I hope you had a great Easter too!
I am ALL for all the fun, the bunny, the egg hunts, the perfect family time, the food, the candy and of course the laughter, but it is so important to me to remember why we celebrate Easter. I will teach my children Easter is time we think about the Savior, what he has done for each of us, his love for us and how he made it possible for us to live again. And that the bunny, the toys, the hunts are just fun and yes in my home we will celebrate both.
I have mentioned before I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, I believe in God, I believe in Christ and I believe we can live with them and our families again. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life. I am grateful for the guidance, for the love and for the spirit I feel on a daily basis. I am thankful for my savior, for the relationship I have with him, for all he has done for me and taught me. Because of his example I want to be like him, loving, selfless, serving, giving and an all around good person. Who doesn't look up to their older brother? Because that is who he is my Old brother, who protects me, gives me advice, feels for me, guides me and loves me. So this Easter I hope you will think about him, thank him and be more like him. He has risen and because of him we can too!
I feel so blessed. My heart is full. I love my little growing family. I love these moments. These days. These weekends that just make your soul want to burst. I am Happy. Happy Easter. Happy Spring! Sending the love and happiness to you!
