I hope you all Had an AMAZING Fourth of July
I did!
it was full of all sorts of Family Fun
I'll post all about it later this week
But today it was back to the real world
and my real life full of insanity, changing dirty diapers
in a public bathroom (ick I hate that)
Why Can't Little M wait to poop at home like him momma?
fixing dino nuggets, blogging, cooking dinner
playing with my little nugget
and of course listening to my favorite song
Tonight Tonight!
La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la
We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight
-Hot Chelle Rae
Now that we have all enjoyed a little Hot Chelle Rae
Lets get on with the fun tutorial
Read or not lets make a pom pom ring shall we?!
ok
If you are like me you have probably been seeing those
pom pom necklaces, brooches and headbands everywhere
Yes? Yes!
well that is because they are adorable!
So after finding this tutorial from Ash
I decided well why not make myself a fun,
flashy and summery pom pom ring?
Yes! why not?
So here it is super cute, unique and easy
Supplies you will need:
-Fabric (your choice of color and type)
I used the sheer
-Hot Glue and Glue gun
-Scissors
-Ring form (got mine at Hobby lobby in a 3 pack)
- and felt
What I did:
While your hot glue gun is heatin up
You will First cut out a small circle
from the felt
About the size of a dime
You want it to be able to fit on the top of your ring form
Then I cut out 8 circles
with a 2 inch diameter
I just cut out squares stacked them on top of each other
and cut them all at once
it worked awesome and was way faster then doing them one at a time
Now it is time for the folding and gluing
These are the simple tricks that get you the ruffled
pom pom look so pay attention :)
You take your circle of fabric
fold it in half and then fold it in half again
creating the look of the picture above
Then you are going to want to glue it on
I glued mine on in an easy pattern
I glued it putting the corner of the ruffle in the center of the felt circle
Then you just repeat and repeat and repeat with all the circles
gluing them in a pattern
I did four on the first layer until all the felt was covered
then did a layer of three
and then with the last ruffle
I glued it sitting up in the middle
Then once all your cute circle ruffles are glued on making a pom pom
you them glue your felt circle
to the ring form
then let it dry
and voila you are done
And it will look a little something like this :)
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
and Isn't it pretty?!
One in every color?
for every outfit?
Yes please :)
I have seen something similar at both target and claires
for like $8-10
mine cost about $2
at the most
at the most
So get to it and make some of your own
In your favorite color
to go with your favorite outfit
You will get tons of compliments on them
I promise
I have gotten compliments on it every time I where one
Even from strangers at the store
Where did you get that?
You made that?
That ring is so cute!
Etc.
I love them all and so will you
Also if you have any more questions
email them to me or comment
and I will get back to you all
