Today I just wanted to share a super easy and cheap forth of July
Decor item that is perfect for a mantel, shelf, table or in my case
on the top of a TV stand
Framed Flag
What you will NEED:
- Frame (I got mine at the dollar store)
-Blue Craft Paint
-Tacky glue or hot gllue
-Red and White striped fabric (I had it on hand)
-White Craft paint
-Wood stars (I had some left over from the packet
I got for the 4th of July Wreath I made)
-sand paper
Since I had all of this on hand it was a FREE project!
Gotta love FREE right :)
What I did:
The first thing I did was paint the white frame blue
I did two coats letting it dry an hour in between
Once it was all dry I sanded the edges a little bit
exposing some of the white underneath
While the paint was drying I tacky glued the red and white
fabric to the cardboard that came in the frame
Once it is all glued it will look something like this
Make sure to glue it to the back so the front is all smooth
and make sure the lines are going horizontally
Next paint 3 wood stars white, once they are dry
sand the edges and then hot glue them to the frame
Last step put your glass, fabric covered cardboard and backing
all back together and viola
You have you super easy Framed Flag
Perfect for memorial day, the 4th of July, the 24th (if you live in Utah)
and Labor day
It will be up all summer to celebrate
the gratitude my family has for our country
