{Day 25} Breakfast

 Today I am going to talk about the importance 
of eating breakfast and the health benefits 
We have all heard it before:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day 
But why?

  Not only does it give you energy to start a new day, 
but breakfast is linked to many health benefits, 
including weight control and improved performance

Benefits of Eating Breakfast everyday:

#1. Improves concentration and performance in the classroom or the work place


   By eating breakfast every morning, you are able to be more focused 
and productive until it's time to refuel at lunch
But when you skip out on breakfast,
 it's hard not to think about anything except food

#2. Gives you energy to get you started on the day


 Pretty simply put food gives you energy
Your body needs it to function and it is what fuels your body everyday all day long
So why wouldn't you want to give your body some fuel to 
get up and going at the first of the day

 #3. More strength and endurance to engage in physical activity


 Again food is energy and you need energy to participate in 
physical activities  




#4. Helps reduce morning crankiness and stress


  Feeling cranky during the morning happens to the best of us
 you probably wanted to stay in bed for a few extra zzzs and press snooze a couple times, 
you don't feel like going to work, and what most people forget, you're starving!
 You have gone without food for about 6 to 10 hours
Do yourself, your classmates and your co-workers a favor 
by eating breakfast to help you deal with any morning moodiness and stress

#5 Metabolism Boost


 When you sleep, your metabolism tends to slow down
 The only way to jump start your metabolism for the day
 is to start off right with a healthy breakfast
 This will allow your body to start burning through calories 
from the very beginning of the day,
 rather than in the middle of it after you've eaten lunch.

#6. Prevents starvation 


When you're asleep, your body isn't burning as many calories
 If you delay your first meal of the day till lunch, 
your body goes into survival mode and starts storing calories, creating fat
 take the time to have breakfast so your body doesn't think you're starving
 and needlessly store calories

#7. Help to lose weight


   Eating a healthy breakfast can reduce hunger throughout the day,
 and help people make better food choices at other meals
 While it might seem you could save calories by skipping breakfast, this is not an effective strategy
Hunger gets the best of those who skip breakfast
 and they eat more at lunch and throughout the day

I CHALLENGE you to try eating a good balanced healthy breakfast 
every single day this week and evaluate how you feel
