Last month I was oh so lucky enough to celebrate my 6th year wedding anniversary! And hubby totally surprised me to a getaway up in Beautiful Midway Utah and the Homestead resort. If you haven't heard of this place you have to check it out. It is a gorgeous old homestead that has been turned into a resort full of hot baths, a crater, beautiful rooms, golf and delicious food. It was perfection and I would go up there to stay again in a heartbeat. Aren't I lucky to have such a sweet husband. He knows I like surprised and romantic getaways of course...what girl doesn't.
When we first got up there we took it easy went to dinner at a famous local burger joint called the dairy keen and their food was so good but the shakes....oh amazing.
Saturday hubby took me to Swiss Days...the local handmade market that is held every year. It was so amazing and he even let me buy all sorts of goodies for myself. We talked to Ali and her husband from Sage and Harper for a good hour and then went to get ready for another surprise adventure. We got in our swimming suits and were off to the crater. It is a huge mineral bath in a crater and it is over 65 feet deep. It was incredible. You guys you have to go here. It felt so good on my muscles...They like to be sore from crossfit and stress, it was good for my soul and hubby and I just had good old fashion fun splashing around and making each other laugh.
After the Crater we got all dolled up and went to dinner at a fancy restaurant right there at the resort. It was so good and the bread in the pot was mouth watering. If you have been there you totally know what I am talking about. The rest of the night was full of walks in the moonlight, movies and popcorn. Sunday we went to brunch, explored the homestead some more, took some pictures, packed up, drove home with some great conversation in the car, and picked up our sweet boys. Thank you Ty for the perfect weekend.

ReplyDeleteOh my it is my favorite, and hubby found it for me and the best part it was only $2. Love Swiss Days wish I could tell you it was at target or something so you could go get yourself one.
