Chic n' Fresh #5

It is time for Chic n' Fresh #5
and this week our theme is
Newspaper nail design
To learn about my Chic n' Fresh series go
What girl doesn't like a little somethin somethin on her finger nails
Keeping it short, full of color
and a little design seems to be the trend right now
This is a style I am loving
It is cheap, unique and so much fun

I get a lot of people asking me about my nails
So I thought i would share one of my favs

First of all I found the newspaper design  HERE

First off lets start out with what you will need:
1. clippers
2. nail polish remover
3. base coat (any color the print will show on)
I chose Essie's Fiji it is a light pink and I LOVE it
4. Clear top coat polish
5. Rubbing Alcohol
6. Cotton swabs
7. Newspaper

First you want to start with a clean nail
take your nail polish remover and clean them up
wash your hands and dry them
and trim them with your clippers to the desired length and shape

Then paint your nails
I did 2 coats
Some suggested Colors that would show the print are
white, any pastel color and Grey
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Essie Fiji

Once your nails are completely dry it is time for the next step
Poor a bit of rubbing alcohol into a container
Dip each nail in the alcohol for about 5 seconds each

(Don't mind my horrible fingers They get to dry, ouchie and ugly)
Take a small piece of newspaper
and press it firmly on your nail for a few seconds
and peel it off carefully

Then you will see that the ink for the newspaper
will be left behind
It is so cool!!!

Apply a Clear top coat to your nails
This step is necessary so the ink will not rub off
And as a bonus it gives your nail a pretty shine

Now that was Chic and Fresh
Perfect for any momma
To feel and look beautiful
