Missing Cedar

I needed to find some time to head down to Cedar City to SUU to sign some papers and get the ball rolling on applying for my student teaching in the fall. Since Ty had a week off for Spring break this last week and SUU was in session we decided to head down for 4 days and make a little mini vacation out of it. We wanted to get away for a little bit and since we had friends and family we wanted to see down in Cedar and St. George this was perfect.

As soon as we drove into Cedar on Wednesday afternoon my heart was overcome with emotion. We haven't been back here since we moved nine months ago and I just didn't realize how much I really missed it there until we drove into town and all these memories started flooding my mind. I mean Cedar was our home it is the first place Ty and I lived together and it is where our little bubbus was born. During this vacation I realized I MISS Cedar.

Here are some things that I miss about Cedar and our memories there:

1. I miss our home there. It was cute, It was big for our little family, It was fun to decorate, it had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms,  I loved our neighborhood, we had our own backyard and our own garage. Even though we were renting it felt like ours and it was our home. It is where we came to after a long day of school, it is where we snuggled up close together, it is where we put our feet up on the table our bums on the couch and relaxed after work, it is where we brought Maddux home from the hospital to, it is where I spent my entire pregnancy, It is where I had fun decorating, it is where I cooked meals, it is where our families came to visit us,  it is where we hung out with friends, it is where I would hang out in the front yard and talk to neighbors, it was little M's first home, and when it came time to move it is where I cried many many times while packing up boxes and saying goodbye to our old life and home. Yes I do get attached and yes change is hard for me and yes I do love our life in Salt lake but that doesn't change the fact that when we drove past our old home this week I wanted to cry and say to Ty that that was our home and those people shouldn't be there...I miss our home.

This is the only picture I could find of the outside of our home. Excuse the Halloween decor. But isn't this cute. wouldn't you miss it?

2. I miss our School SUU (Southern Utah University). It is where I did all of my college classes, it is where I went terrified away from home as a new freshman, it is where I first lived on my own, It is where I payed my own bills, It is where I blossomed, it is where I grew into myself and really learned who I am, It is where I not only learned about math, English and science but about life, it is where I cheered at football games and gymnastics meets, it is where I worked, It is where I felt like I lived, it is where I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours, It is where I really started dating, it is where I built friendships that will last forever, it is where I met my amazing hubby Ty, it is where I got to be a Presidential Ambassador and make a difference to the school, it is where I learned, it is where I pushed myself, it is where I earned my bachelors degree, It is where I graduated in Physical Education and health, it is where I decided I wanted to be a teacher one day, It is where I had professors that made huge impacts in my life, It is where I loved to be and I wouldn't change my college years for anything. I would never go back to high school but I would go back here any day... I miss SUU! I will forever be a Thunderbird. Thank you SUU for all the amazing memories and life lessons that will forever make me the person that I am today.

Maddux chilling on the SUU campus. This is where Ty and I both spent many hours recruiting, learning, socializing, partying, watching and studying.

3. I miss our Family there. Ty's brother Dan, our sister in law Brooke and their kids live in St. George, Ty's Brother Mike, our sister in law Jess and their kids live in Cedar and my brother Chris, our sister in law Em and their kids live in Cedar in just a street down from where we lived. We had a lot of family down there and it was a blast. We hung out a lot, had movie nights, had rock band nights, babysat, swam, played at the park, had Sunday dinners together, and watched shows together. I felt so lucky to live close to our amazing family and I loved playing with our nieces and nephews down there. They all helped me so much when Maddux was born, and where always there when we needed anything. Even though we still see them a lot because they are our family I miss seeing them even more often. I cherish the time we got to live close to all of you guys and hope we will all be close to each other again.....I miss living close to those family members.
Our cute niece Oaklyn and Maddux. It was so fun spending some time with Dan and Brooke and their kids for a little bit this week. Oaklyn was adorable with Little M and just kept carrying him around, making him laugh and playing with him. He followed her around like a puppy dog. He loved playing with all his cousins he liked playing outside with Londyn and Connelly. This was also the first time that he got to meet our new baby nephew Creed and he was fascinated by him and kept trying to give him kisses.

We  spent some time with my brother Chris, Emily, and their kiddos Ella's and Parker while we were down in Cedar. When we lived down there we only lived a street down from these guys and were in the same ward. We spent many hours at their play hanging out.

This is our cute little niece Ella sitting next to little M. They are such cute little cousins I wish we lived closer so they could hang out more often. They are only 3 weeks apart. Me and my sister in law Emily were preggers together and hung out all the time big bellies and all. They almost look like they could be twins.

Maddux and his cousin Parker. Parker is always asking if he can give M kisses. It is so cute. We miss little Parker so much. We used to watch him when he was little and I just cherish that time so much. We became buddies and I hope he never forgets that. He was so excited when we came down to visit and always tells us he wants us to all live close to each other again when his daddy is done with school. So cute.

4. I miss our friends. We made so many of our best friends down here. We met and built so many friendships. I met so many people that made impacts on my life that they will probably never even know about. I have so many good memories with my single friends, with my married friends and PA friends. We are all growing up, graduating, starting families and moving all over but I will never forget them or what they said and did for me. We miss our biggest loser nights, our desserts, our lunches, our shopping trips, our Vegas trips, our talks, our runs and everything in between. I love you all... I miss our friends.

5. I miss all the yummy places we would go out to eat at.  We spent many of dates at all the yummy restaurants in town. Ty worked at chillies so we were there all the time (we got 50% off). We would go there on dates, and I would go there and visit him at work. I spent so much time there. It seriously was like a second home and a lot of the people that worked there became some of our best friends and it was like a second family to me and Ty. I miss our time there. We also loved this yummy place called Pastry Pub. They had delicious sandwiches I would go here at least one a week when I was pregnant with Maddux. We also loved to go to Sizzler, Pizza huts lunch buffet, pizza factory, a delicious Mexican place called Lupitas ( this is one of our favorite places to go with Chris and Em and we even went there for dinner our first night down there this week) and occasionally Wingers...I miss the food.

We had to go to Pastry pub while we were down there for some lunch. Maddux had a lot of this while he was in my tummy growing. :)

We had dessert at chilies on Wednesday night and lunch on Saturday. It was fun to see all our old friends that still work there. Maddux enjoyed our Peanut butter chocolate molten (oh my heavenly) and some french fries while he was there. My brother Chris also worked at chilies with Ty and was our server for lunch on Saturday.Everyone was all googly over Maddux and saying how much he has grown since they saw him last. He was loving all of the attention and kisses.

6. I miss our Social Life. While we were in Cedar we just seemed to have more time. It was slower there, it was smaller and we just didn't have as much to do which meant more time to play. Since Ty is in law school up here we just don't have as much time to do things and unfortunately I feel like we haven't gotten to know as many people up here and the people we have tried to get to know it is just hard to find time to do things with. I miss our theater we would always go to and our midnight movie dates, I miss our St. George day trips, I miss our biggest loser nights, and I miss all the walks around the neighborhood we used to take (we need to do this more up here especially when it gets warmer). We just need to find the time to hang out with friends up here more often....I miss the social life.

7. I miss our huge Walmart. I know this is a super weird one but the Walmarts in Salt Lake stink compared to our huge amazing Walmart in Cedar. It had everything and just a much better selection. But since Cedar was so small and we didn't have any Targets or anything like that Walmart had to have it all. This was my Walmart, it is where I did all my shopping, it is where we got most of Maddux's baby stuff, it is where I went shopping while I was in the beginning part of labor with Maddux (even though then I didn't know thats what it was. I had back labor so it was not what I thought it was going to feel like), It is where Ty and I went at ten o'clock at night when we were bored and wondered around, it is where we went for ice cream runs, it is where we got our red box movies, and It is where I went when I was bored and Ty was at work...I miss the best Walmart in the world.

Maddux in the cart at Walmart. When we were down visiting we of course had to make a few quick trips to our favorite store.

8. I miss the beauty. It is beautiful down south. I love the views. I love the mix of the red rock mountains and the luscious green mountains. I miss hopping in the jeep and driving up the mountain to just hang out, look out on the little city and just talk. I miss the retreats at the cabin up in the Cedar mountains and all the beauty surrounding it. I miss how much there is to do outside there. I miss the rock climbing. I miss the hiking, I miss the clear skies and the stars...I miss the beauty.

9. I miss my running Trail. Cedar City had the best running trail I have ever seen or ran on. It was my place to be alone, my place to think, it is where I learned to love to run, It is where I trained for a half marathon (I didn't end up doing it because I found out I was pregnant when I got up to nine miles and was a month away from the race and I just didn't feel comfortable running that far pregnant. I was paranoid. Maybe one day it will happen), it is where I ran with friends, it is where I ran for the first time with Maddux....I miss my running trail. I hope that I can find one up here when the weather gets better and I can start running outside again. If anyone knows of a good trail in the Salt lake area let me know. Also I could use a running partner. :)

Me and little M at the trail during our visit. Yes, that is snow in the picture. It was snowing while we were there. Not much of spring weather for Spring break. Lame

10. I miss the Small town feel. I miss how little traffic there was. I miss how quick you could get from point A to point B. I miss how friendly everyone is to each other. I miss all the fun festivals that happened down there, I miss the Summer games, I miss all the parades, I miss the softball games, and I just miss how chill and non-busy it is down there. I like the slow pace...I miss the small town feel.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Salt Lake and our life here. I love living close to our families. I just also love Cedar and love our memories there.

My 2010 favorite things

320 Sycamore is having a fun "favorite things" link party! And it got me thinking of my favorite things of 2010.
I have a list of my top 25 favorites. 25 you ask? Yes 25, I couldn't narrow it down any more if I tried.

so here they are in no particular order...
1. Skinny Jeans
I LOVE skinny Jean they are my favorite pants to wear. They are comfy and cute. You can wear them with flats. heels or boots. They are perfect for every season. You can dress them up or dress them down. I have two pair (they are both dark I need some light ones) and I wear them all the time (just ask my husband) and I just might need to get some more.

 2. Ugg Boots
These are my favorite boots to wear in the fall and winter. I think I wear them everyday during those two seasons especially if it is raining or snowing. I HATE when the bottom of my pants get wet so these are the perfect solution to wear out and they keep my feet warm and oh so comfy. Can you tell I have a comfortable theme going on here. Again I were these with everything...jeans, sweat pants, even a few of my skirts. (I have the airwalks brand because they are cheaper but just as good and cute)

3. The Biggest Loser
This is one of mine and Ty's favorite shows. It is inspiring, motivating, and entertaining. We get so into it every year and I connect with the contestants and hate to see most of them go throughout the season. Can I just say that I am soooo excited for make over week! These people just make me want to do better. I want to meet Bob one day so bad.
4. Snuggie Blanket
I know this thing is a little silly...but ever since I got one for my birthday last year I just love it, especially in the winter time. It is perfect to snuggle up with while watching TV. Everyone needs one of these. I got one for Ty for Christmas so we could enjoy them together. Awwww. I even have the pink one for breast cancer awareness.

5. My faith
I love my faith and am so thankful and proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the salt lake temple and it is where me and my cute hubby got married and sealed 3 years ago.
(doesn't it just look like a beautiful princess castle)

6. Italian Village Pizza Benders
Ok these are so addictive and have got to be my favorite food for this year. If you live in or near Murray Utah you have got to try this place. It is this cute little restaurant and everything I have tried there is delicious but my favorite is the salad with their delicious ranch dressing and a pineapple and pepperoni pizza bender. So cheesy...sooo yummy.

7. Twilight
I love anything twilight. They were the most addictive books I have ever read and got me to love reading again. I now, because of these books, own a library card again and am reading all sorts of books all the time. I also like the movies and will own them all.

8. My black pumps
My cute Ty bought me these beauties for my birthday this year and I just love them. They go with everything. They dress up every outfit and I feel pretty when I wear them. I believe they are a fashion staple and everyone needs some plain black pumps.

9. My Nikon Coolpix L110
We got this camera this year because, yes it is true, I some how washed and DRIED our old camera :( The only good thing that came out of that was this lovely camera and I just love how good the pictures look.

10. Mod Podge
I love this stuff. I feel like anyone that likes to decorate or make crafts needs this. You can do so many different projects with it to sprus up your home. Me and my mom just did a big project for Maddux's room with this lovely ingredient and I can't wait to post pictures of it when it is completed and up on the wall.

11. Lucky Body Spray
Oh my heavens I love this smell. It is and always will be my perfume of choice and no one can convince me other wise. haha. No but really spraying just a little of this on me every morning or before I go out on a date with the hubby make me feel fresh. Who doesn't like to smell good anyway?!

12. Vaseline Lotion
This item is probably the thing I used the MOST, multiple times a day, than anything else on the list. I love lotion and am a bit obsessed. Every time I wash my hands I have to put lotion on and I love how moisturizing this kind is. I have tried so many kinds of lotion and always seem to come back to this. It has got to have the pump too and it sits right on my side of the bathroom counter.

13. 5k Jogging Stroller
I love this stroller and I even got it used on KSL classifieds so it was so much cheaper than buying a new one. I am still able to go on my jogs even when the hubby is at school and I have baby Maddux. He is so good on our runs.

14. Insanity DVD Workout Program
We just started this the end of this year and I don't think I have ever had such a hard workout. I am not much of a sweater but I drip after each workout with this program. There is a schedule that is set up for you to follow so that you know what workout to do on each day and there is even a recovery day every week. My favorite thing about this program is that you don't need weights it is all just using your body weight. The other fabulous thing about my copy is that I bought them still in the package brand new on KSL classifieds and got it for $70 dollars off the original price. Can you say steal?! This is perfect for getting back into shape along with running after having a baby. It kicks my butt.

15. Loreal Bare Naturale Mineral foundation
This is the only foundation that I will use on my face now and for the rest of my life. It is so light weight I don't even feel like I am wearing any makeup and it covers so nicely. I also like that it is a powder and that there are so many tones to choose from. It also has sunscreen in it how can you go wrong with that?! I wont leave the house without this on.

16. Maddux's Bumbo Seat
This is thee coolest seat for babies and I think every mom needs one for their little ones. The babies love them and it teaches them how to sit up before they can on their own. Maddux loved to sit in his and still does to this day. You can also get a tray for it. This seat is a life savor for me when I am cooking and he wants to be up by me I can sit him in this on the floor by me and he is happy. They have these seats in so many different colors.

17. Bath and Body Works Foam Soaps
My cute husband has got me addicted to these this last year. I used to just get the regular soaps which are good too but then Ty asked me why I didn't get the foam kind and told me how much he likes it so next time I was out I got it and fell in love. And don't we agree that bath and body works have the BEST smells. Also these lotions and soaps are so good for friend gifts. I like to have a few on hand for gifts just in case.

18. Missy Higgins
I LOVE Missy Higgins and I could seriously listen to her all day long. My cute Ty got me this CD for my birthday and I think he wishes he hadn't because every time we are in the car I pop this bad boy in. I never get sick of it but I think Ty wants some more manly music to listen to every now and then.

19. Cricket Machine
Well my mom's Cricket machine is one of my favorite things. I don't have one yet but my cute mom lets me use hers anytime I want and even taught me how to use it last time I wanted some Vinyl. It is perfect for vinyl lettering, scrapbooking, cards and other home crafts. Thank you mom for letting me use this until I get my own one day. (hint...hint...Ty) haha ok maybe when you are done with law school.

20. Equate Facial Cleansing Wipes
I use these every night to take off my makeup before I go to bed and it is so perfect. It gets it all off so nicely and leaves my skin feeling oh so soft. I used to use the name brand kind but this works just as good and I get twice as much for half the price.

 21. Slurpee
This is another one of my favorite things that my husband really got me addicted to this year. I have always liked slurpees but until we move back up to Salt Lake we didn't have a 711 near us but now that there is one just down the street you better believe that we get this treat constantly. The Rootbeer was my favorite but it was only a summer thing. Now it is Cherry Coke or Pina Colata
 22. Redbox
Oh yeah Redbox baby I love this thing. In fact I really wish I would have invented it. $1 movies how can you not like that? Ok so most of the time they are one dollar unless you are like me and the hubby and don't return them for two or three days. oops. I love how you can reserve it from your home computer and then just go pick it up watch it and return it the next day. So worth a dollar. We love movies!

23. 409 and Clorox wipes
I am combining these two because I couldn't pick a favorite between them when it come to cleaning. I use these two items daily. They are life savers and I love the clean aroma they leave behind.

 24. Frizz Ease Hairspray
This is another favorite that I have always loved, tried other hairsprays but always come right back to this one. I love that purple lid. No but really this hairspray does wonders for my hair. I am a firm believer in it depends on your hair type for which hairspray is best for you but this one is THEEE BEST for my hair. Ask hubby he tries to get me to try cheaper kind but I wont back down. :)

25.My Family
They are my favoritest of all my favorites! My boys are my world like I have said before and they are by far my most favorite things :) How did I get so lucky?

What are your favorite things?

Howdy ya'll! Well since Whitney has done pretty much all of our blogging we decided that I needed to take another turn. She has put in a lot of time to making our blog look cute and has done a lot in keeping it up to date, so it's definitely my turn to post.

So we made a very exciting discovery this week. So anyone who knows my family knows that we have an obsession with a drink called Manzanita Sol. It's a Mexican apple soda that we all LOVE! The only problem is that you can't find it in Utah, so every time my Dad makes one of his thousand trips to California for work he stocks up with a ton of it, and they still seem to only last for a very short time. Well Whit and I were shopping the other day and walking down the soda isle at Walmart and I saw out of the corner of my eye a Walmart brand soda called Apple Manzana. With a name like that we figured it was probably the generic version of our family's favorite drink, and sure enough it's exactly the same! I know this may sound like a lame thing to blog about to some of you, but those who know and love this drink will surely appreciate it.
The nectar of the Gods

Anyway, as every woman in the world knows the final Twilight book was released Friday night at midnight. Like the majority of you girls, Whit loves the books and is in love with an imaginary vampire named Edward. Well she was way excited and wanted to go get the book right when it came out. The funny thing is that with her extremely busy schedule right now with work and school, she hasn't had the chance to finish the second or third books. But she thought it would be fun anyway to go get it so we got to Walmart at 11:30 and there was already a huge line that went through half the store! Luckily they were well stocked and Whit got her brand new copy of Breaking Dawn! She has been really good though about doing her homework too :)

I will admit that I think the cover art to these books are pretty sweet
One last note... My cousin Adam and his wife Leslie came over for dinner tonight and brought their XBox 360 and Guitar Hero for the after dinner entertainment. Well Whit has been way scared of trying it and she didn't think that she would really like it anyway. After some encouragement from the rest of us she tried it out, and now she loves it! And for her first time she is doing way awesome! She really surprised herself about how much she is enjoying it, so thank you Adam and Leslie for bringing it over and letting us borrow it!

The New Job

So today was my first day of the new job at target. Wahoo I have a job. It doesn't pay as much as we need but it is so much better than no job and I am excited to have one and to wear the kaki and red :) Today was training and I followed around a really cool lady Jo and she helped me and let me learn by hands on experience (best way to learn something). Her hunsband rebuilds motorcycles and stuff and her and her husband are going to be on a tv show I think on cable. So cool she is totally like a celebrity now. She is 53 and acted like she was 21. She was so nice too. You would think a job at target wouldn't be too complicated but in-stoke is a lot of information and a ton of memorization and she helped me a lot and made me feel comfortable there.

I was there for 5 hours and I started with Rigs which is when I take a PDA and look for the product on it scan it and type in how many are on the shelf. Kinda takes a while to figure out the target lingo and find everything but I think I will get the hang of it. Jo and Angie my, trainners, said that I did really good especially for my first day. That made me feel much better cuz I felt like a lot of the info was going over my head. I also had to do research in the intiment section and make sure there was everything there that the labels said and then I did stock out. Stock out was the easiest thing to do because all you do is scan what is out of stock.

I have to be to work most days at seven oclock and I'm not getting many hours yet but I really like it and I hope to be a very hard worker and catch on quickly. I worry when I first start a job that I wont be good at it and the people over me wont like me. But I will go in there do what is to be done and hopefully that is good. Oh and I get a 10% discount so that is pretty cool. I have a feeling I'm going to miss this job when its time to go I'll only be there two and a half months thats gonna fly by.Now I'm gonna go be the best Target Team member ever! (hehe I am an official team member. Can you tell I love Target?)

Besides the job not much is new. Jess and Max are gone and I am watching daisy. I really like her company especially when I am alone. I'm gonna miss them its weird without them here, but they are having fun and visiting family which Jess was so excited for.

What else in going on?
1. Ty is working really really hard out there! And I am proud of his work ethic and love.
2.Ty and I started exercising with each other which is so much fun and he can't stop talking about how good it is for us and he is so right.
3. Another good thing going on in our lives is Ty and I have met some really cool friends out here. We were just saying last night what a nice and great team we have here. They are just all really cool people. We instantly clicked with this newly married couple Trevor and Keesa Mooney and they are a lot of fun. I feel like we all just became instant friends which is so awesome and needed

4. So You Think You Can Dance has started and if you know me at all you know I absolutly love this show it is my favorite reality show and I can't wait for the summer because that is when it starts each year and it is here. My brother Adam is an awesome break Dancer and I mean awesome. Him and some others from his crew wanted to go try out when they were in Salt Lake. So Adam and Tristan went and waited in line for a long time and they didn't let him try out because he wasn't 18. But this was a huge bummer because he would be 18 two weeks after that audition and they still wouldn't let him. So I just want to say that I am so proud of Adam and I love his and he talents. Good luck bro this weekend in Vegas.
5. Jessica has introduced me to Days of Our Lives and I love it I am so addicted and I get so into what is happening. Good thing I got a job or I would have to go get some Bon Bons. :)

6. Last thing is I Love Dirty Dancing and I have just discovered how amazing this movie really is and all the work that was put into it. I bought the movie for $9 and Ive watched it alot and loved the special features DVD. I wish I was Baby sometimes :) It makes me want to Dance and take classes with Ty. Watch out everyone Im gonna be the dancing queen. I think Ill take up a new hobby.
Miss you all, Love you all!

High School Tag!

1. If you could go back and tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be?
To be more outgoing. I finally started coming out of my shell my senior year a little and even more in college. I had way more fun in college then I ever did in high school.
2. Did you do any extra curricular activities in high school?
I did gymnastics (which took up most of my time. I went 20 hours a week.), track, and yearbook (which sounds lame but it was fun because that is where I met a lot of my friends.) Besides those I worked teaching gymnastics and working at a local grocery store. I don't know how I had time for all of this but i managed and I learned a lot from it.
3. What did you do with your free time?
What free time? When I wasn't at school or the gym I loved to scrapbook and hang out with my famiy and friends. Most of my time was spent with Brit, Ash. Niki, Bre and Lindsay
4. Coolest thing you did as a teenager.
That is a hard one. This is kind of a weird one and probably not that cool but its a good memory of mine. In gymnastics when I placed in State on Vault! Plus it was always so cool in practice when ever I was terrified to try that new skill and whenever I would accomplish something like that it was the best feeling in the world.
5. Did you have a boyfriend in high school?
Nope. Lame I know. Like I said college was much more exciting then my high school years. Not to say I wasn't boy crazy. I was very boy crazy and after high school I heard of quite a few boys that liked me through the high school years. I guess I just looked scared of them or something. I was pretty shy and maybe because of this they thought I was't interested. I was dumb huh. Darn if only I could have had more fun those years and learned more about dating.
6. Songs that come to mind:
Tim and Nelly Over and Over again. Candy Shop by Fifty Cent. All brandnew and Dashboard songs (high school is when I fell in love with these two bands). Hands down by Dashboard. Yellowcard. California by Phantom Planet.
7. If you could change one thing, what would it be?
To have more fun in high school. I know I was at the gym all the time but I should have made more of the free time I did have.
8. What did you think you would be when you grew up?
Athletic Trainer or PT
9. Picture of self.

This is the summer before my senior year. I was at this gym all the time because when I wasn't working out I was coaching. I miss this gym so much.

My cousin Nikki and I. We are really good friends.
My graduation. June 2005. It has been three years since I've been in high school. That is so weird I feel like I'm getting so old. But I don't miss it at all.

This is the fall right after I graduated.
10. Craziest thing you did in high school.
1. Got in a car accident on my way to a dance. Totaled the car.
2. Brock my back in three places my senior year of high school.

Ty's 1st post!

Well we started this post about a week or so ago and I haven't written anything yet. My sis Brooke said I should fill out the husband tag that she made Dan do a while back, so here it goes...

10 years ago:
Ten years ago I was 13 yrs old and was just finishing up my first year of Jr High at Hillcrest. That was about the time that I started to like golf and I also played in a roller hockey league. I probably passed most of my time with Brandon watching and playing sports with some of the other kids in our neighborhood.

5 things on my list today:
1. Take care of my sick wife
2. Work on my final essay for my Spanish lit class
3. Work on my final for my law and society class
4. Go to work
5. Study for my other classes

What would I do of I became a millionaire:
The first thing I would do is by a house for Whit and I, probably in northern Utah because that's where I'll hopefully be going to law school in a year. Then I would buy a Jeep for Whit, a boat, a truck to pull the boat, a motorcycle for me and a scooter for Whitty, go on a sweet vacation like a cruise to New Zealand and Australia, and then try to be responsible and invest the rest.

5 jobs I've had:
1. Server/Bartender at Chili's
2. HVAC worker
3. Server at Boomers
4. Maintenance worker and flag football ref for Murray Parks and Rec
5. Paper Boy

5 thing people don't know about me:
1. I can do a round off (it's pretty ugly but I can do it)
2. I took piano lessons for eight years
3. I was in Madrigals in high school (Tenor pride!)
4. I had three different wrestling injuries, one in each of my last three years
5. I enjoy watching chick-flicks with my wife

What snacks do I enjoy:
I love pretty much everything, I love sweets like ice cream and chocolate, but I also love salty snacks like chips and dip (especially guacamole) or nachos. It just depends on the mood I'm in.

3 bad habits:
1. Throwing my dirty clothes on the floor. This one has improved quite dramatically I think since I've been married, but sometimes I still struggle.
2. Channel surfing during commercials. Whit hates it when I do this, but sometimes there is more than one thing that I want to watch and I hate commercials so I flip, but I always come back to what we were originally watching.
3. Procrastinating my homework assignments (that is why I have so much school stuff on my to do list). I just can't seem to get motivated to do homework until the last minute, but it also seems like that's when I do my best work. But this is something I really want to change, especially for when I start Law school.

6 Places I've lived:
1. Murray
2. Cedar City
3. California
4. Cedar City
5. Murray
6. Cedar City

Some pictures of me and Whit golfing at the driving range the other day.

All right, now I can officially say that I am part of the blogging world!

The simple things

Isn't it funny that the simple things in your day are what make you happy? I had that this weekend. The simple things that made me smile....
1. Seeing my husband with his best friend Brandon made me happy
2. Going to a BBQ at Dan and Brooke's with friends and fam
3. Having one of my classes canceled on Friday
4. Getting comments from my sister in-laws on here
5. Going to Wingers
6. Listening to Dan and Ty practice their musical number in the chapel with only me and them there. It was beautiful and it makes me proud
7. hearing all the complements given to Dan and Ty at church today
8. Playing matchmaker this weekend
9. Bowling
10. Seeing the smile on Ty's face when I told him he can get the new golf clubs
11. Getting a call from Jess
12. Snuggling
13. playing at the park at one in the morning
14. Watching the kiddos
15. Waking up to seeing my husband right there beside me
16. And when Ty told me I looked beautiful today (he tells me that a lot because he is sweet but sometimes it just makes me so giddy to hear it when I feel "bleh" like today)
