Last month I saw cute Holly from My sister's Suitcase on Studio 5 taking about her awesome geometric triangle Wall. I loved it so much and hope to maybe one day find a place to do one in my home. After seeing it I thought it would be so fun to do it on a smaller scale and then I saw that they did just that HERE.and the cute Girl Loves Glam did one similar HERE.
I am seriously so in love with triangles, arrows and all the fun geometric shapes tight now, So here is my version of my own triangle geometric Art work. I wanted to use bright bold colors for the spring and summer months. I love the color and cheeriness it brings into my home. I am feelin the Spring Air and I am celebrating with this super Boss piece of Art I made my self. This is probably the easiest project I have ever done.
{Supplies Needed}
- 30X20 inch Foam board {I got mine at the dollar store...woop!}
-Card stock {Mine is sparkles and I got it at Michaels on clearance for 8 piece for 50 cents a package, I got three packs with two colors in each}
-Glue stick
-Scissors or a paper slicer
Total Cost = $2.50 not bad I say not bad at all! {and I even had half of the paper still left over}
{Steps to follow}
1. first you are going to pick the colors you want. The sheets of card stock I got where already in perfect 5 inch by 5 inch squares so then all I did it put it on an angle and cut right down the middle to give me two triangles from each sheet. If you wanted your triangles smaller you could cut them down the middle one more time to get 4 triangles from each square but I personally liked the bigger triangles. I think it gave it more of a bold statement. So I cut out all my triangles that I was going to use.
2. Then I just started laying them out how I wanted them to look. I did them in random orders and colors there was no rhyme or reason to it. I even left some of the triangles bare to let the white from the board show through I liked the balance of the white with all the colors.
3. After I had them all set up the way I wanted I just started gluing them all in place and on the edges where the triangle hung over I trimmed them down to fit.
It was super easy and really fast to make. It maybe took me 30 minutes from start to finish. Easily accomplished during nap time with still time to spare for some netflix and maybe a nap for yourself. I love how it turned out. It is the perfect pop of color and funky style I was going for for this area in my home and for the season. It makes me so happy whenever I walk past it. How could you not smile looking at all the color everyday?
I absolutely love this quote and print from President Uchtdorf, "What you create doesn't have to be perfect." My mom designed this and gave it to me. I love it. I am such a perfectionist sometimes and because of that it can sometimes get in the way of my creativity. So this is a great reminder that I just need to relax let loose create and not worry about it being perfect or not.
Now go and make your own. It was next to nothing to make, it was fast and it is so fun. You will love it. And the best part is you can totally personalize it and make it your own. Change the colors, put it in a playroom, a girls room, a boys room, your room a kitchen, put it where you want it. Make sure to send me a picture if you make one I would love to see.

This is so cute, Whitney! I love color, so I definitely need to make me one of these. I just adore your whole shelf set up -- the scrabble tiles are such a great addition! And I just popped over to your mom's blog to get the printable for myself. I need that reminder far too often!
ReplyDeleteThis came out really great. I love al the colour!
