Back to School with Duck Tape®

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine.

I can't believe it, but it is mid- August and we all know what that means BACK TO SCHOOL. Back to School, Back to school to prove to dad I'm not a fool. I've got my shoes tied tight....okay you get the point. Call me crazy but I love back to school shopping I looked forward to it every year since I was little all the way until I graduated with my Bachelors Degree. I have always loved school, that is probably why I have a teaching license, and I am so excited to be doing back to school shopping for my little guy for preschool this year.

Today I am teaming up with Duck Tape® to bring you some really fun personalized school supplies. No not the shiny silver stuff. Well unless that's the look you are going for, no judgment here, but you guys Duck Tape is so much cooler now! Duck Tape® comes in all sorts of patterns, colors, designs and styles these days and it is so much fun! Are you excited now? Well it gets even better. They even have different sizes. They have the standard rolls, small rolls, and flats sheets. The possibilities are endless. I mean you could make their first day of school outfit out of Duck Tape® if you were really  hard core here. I was not that talented, but I did come up with some really fun his and hers personalized notebooks and basic supplies that your child might need this coming school year.

All you will need to do is head to your nearest Walmart and grab all the boring supplies, as your blank canvases. Notebooks, glue sticks, pencils, pens, erasers, clips, bookmarks, folders, pencil cases anything. Then you will go to your craft and/or paint department and browse all the amazing options of Duck Tape®. Do you see all these options?  So Exciting, and there is even more.

I decided on the pink and gold for the girl theme and the blue and mustache pattern for the boy theme. And I think I will be going back for some superhero ones for my boys. Did you know you can buy Duck Tape at Walmart? Convenient Right?! Do your grocery shopping, school supplies shopping and get your Duck Tape® all in one stop.

Once you get the supplies it is so simple. There really are no rules but I will clue you in on what I did. First, I covered the spine with the pink and blue. Then with the gold I just covered the rest of the book overlapping each new piece so it gave it a striped look, and with the mustache I bought the flat sheet so I just peeled it off its backing and stuck it right on the notebook. Lastly, I took my scissors and cut around the edges of the books getting rid of all the excess tape so all you have left is what fits on the book perfectly.

Just wrap the rest of your supplies in the coordinating patterns and colors so it will all go together and it will be personalized to your child's style and personality.

Easy Peasy and how fun for your kids to show off on the first day of school. Now go get your favorite Duck Tape® with the rest of your children's school supplies. Don't forget to Follow Duck Tape® on instagram @TheDuckBrand  to get even more fun ideas. I told you Duck Tape® has changed drastically since we were kids.  What would you make with your favorite Duck Tape® style or color?
