{Day 9}

New here? Make sure to check out day 1  and my introduction to my
31 day of Health and Exercise series for the month of October
Thank you for reading and coming along with journey with me
I hope to inspire and motivate you through this series

Today I am going to talk about how you can workout anywhere
and some of these exercises and why they are so great
especially for you busy ladies and gentleman out there
As a mom sometimes just walking up and down the stairs to do laundry
makes me feel like I got a good workout in haha
so Here are some good exercises you can do Anywhere
more specifically in your own home

#1 Two foot Step Jumps
Jump up and down on the stairs with two feet
Try to do 10 without stopping and then slowly add more as it gets easy

#2 Up Up Down Downs on the steps
you are going to step up one step with your right foot
then your left foot then down with your right and down with your left
you are going to repeat this doing it as fast as you can for 30 seconds
then as it gets easier you can up your time and your speed

#3 Stair or Stool Calf Raises
you are going to stand on a step or stool with your toes
on the edge of the step and your heals hanging off
you will raise up to your tippy toes and then back down and
you will repeat try to do 15 and up to reps as it gets easier
You can also do one leg calf raises doing the same thing
but doing it while balancing on one leg at a time

#4 Lunges throughout the house
Don’t walk, lunge through your hallways
Try this all day long and see how that bum feels the next day

#5 Wall Sits
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart sit against the wall
(keeping your back flat) and your knees at a 90 degree angle
Wall sit while you read, while you browse the Internet, while
you are holding the babe, while you watch TV, and even while you fold your laundry
If it gets too easy, try going on your tippy toes

#6  Butt Abductors while you cook dinner
While you are standing at the stove/oven making sure something doesn’t burn
you can work your bum out
Stand with one foot slightly in front
while the other leg lifts directly backwards
Do about 20 on each leg, 2x.

#7 Leg Raises while reading a book/magazine
Sit with your back up against a wall
bend one knee into your chest
With the other leg lift it up and down 20 times on each leg

#8 Inner Thigh Side lifts while watching your favorite show
Lay on your side and start to lift your leg
start with 10 low lifts, 10 middle lifts and then 10 high lifts
 Then switch sides

#9 Butt Lifts while reading a book/magazine
Lay your magazine or book flat and lift your leg up
Do 15 with a bent leg and 15 with a straight leg, then switch
Make sure your lifting only to horizontal and your squeezing your bum

#10 Toes Raises while you brush your teeth in the morning
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart
raise up to high tippy toes and then back down.
Do this the whole 2 minutes you brush your teeth

#11 Side Lunges while you brush your teeth at night
Start in a standing position
lunge to the Left or Right then push-off your lunge leg
One leg stays stationary at all times
do 12 on each leg then switch to the other side

#12 Couch elevated lunges
I put my leg on the couch then do 15 stationary lunges on each leg
If you can’t see your toes then your foot is to close, push it out

#13 Leg Extenders with the baby or toddler
This one is fun for your little ones
Lay on your back
bend your knees up to your belly
Put your baby or toddler resting your your feet
holding under their armpits or their hands
And do 20 or so leg extenders

#14 Milk jug or canned food arm curls
just find yourself a milk jug or get two cans of food
Keep your elbows in and don’t rush the curl
concentrate on good form
Start with 10 and if they get too easy add in increments of 5 reps

#15 Shoulder Press with canned food
grab your self a can of food for each hand
Stand up straight and bend your arms at a 90 degree angle above your head
then press up until the weights almost touch and then pull it back down

#16 Standing Counter Top Push ups
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and start doing standing push up
Do 30

#17 Laundry Basket Deadlifts
Squat down, lift your laundry with you and then above your shoulders for a little extra
Do this 15 times each time you have a new load (dirty or clean)

#18 Superman with the kids
While you are on the floor playing with the kids this is the
perfect exercise to do with them
Start laying on your stomach then lift up and hold
You can also move your feet back and forth like scissors for even more of a challenge
your kids will love doing this with you
what little kid doesn't like pretending to fly right

#19 Ab Twists while you microwave your meal
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart
stand up as tall as you can and squeeze your abs
Twist back and forth as many times as you can
the more you do the better your abs will get

#20 Leg Lift Ab twist while your breakfast is in the toaster
After you burn out your abs twisting, try it with a leg twist
Same stance as the ab twist
but then I lift my opposite leg with the twist and “crunch” down a little

I am sure there are a lot more exercise ideas that you can do anywhere
and when you are busy but here are my top 20 to get you started
So I challenge you to try these 20 workouts you can do anywhere
My little man thought it was so fun to do them with me
