Grandma Julie's Chocolate Chip Cookies {Recipe}

Ty's mom is a wonderful cook and baker. I don't think there is anything she can't make. I was a bit intimidated the first time I had to cook after finding out how much Ty loved his mom's cooking. First off I do not love cooking but I do enjoy baking. I remember the first time I made one of his mom's cookie recipes (it wasn't this one) they looked different than his mom's and I could see in Ty's face they just weren't the same even though he was being sweet and telling me they were just fine. lol. Seriously I told myself after that I will never make one of her recipes ever again because I just can't compare to Betty Crocker, people. Well then seven years later I finally decided to take another stab at one of her recipes and it was her famous chocolate chip cookies. I mean a chocolate chip cookie is all the same right?! Wrong! These are heaven. I mean really. If you don't believe me just try them! I was very excited when mine came out fantastical just like hers. I started making them almost every week and gave them out to people. I also probably ate 3 dozen on my own. You need them in your life....soooo you are lucky enough that I am sharing this secret recipe with all of you.

Ingredients
3/4 cup Brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 bag of your favorite chocolate chips

Directions
1. Cream together sugars, shortening and butter
2. add remaining ingredients leaving the flour for last and mix
3. then mix again after adding the flour
4. add chocolate chips
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes

I am telling you it is the cinnamon that totally makes these so unique and your house will smell quit amazing. Now go and enjoy...oh and all I have to say is YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!
